Teacher’s qualification examination, known as TET, is an Indian entrance exam for teachers. In Class-1 to Class-8 government schools are mandatory to get a job. Paper 1 is for teachers from 1 to 5 for selection and Paper 2 for Class VI from Class 8. It is conducted by both the central government and the state. Governments in most states govern their own TET. The test is accomplished in order and the goal of the RTE act is achieved.
TET was introduced by the Government of India to improve the standards of education. It took place for the first time in 2011. For teachers already working, they are going to clear the exam for two years.
